Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I just went through the drive thru for some lunch. The gentlemen that took our order and handed us our food was very kind, welcoming, fast, and efficient. I didn't catch his name though, unfortunately. The service was incredibly fast and the food was very fresh and tasted excellent! Thank you so much, we appreciate you!"
"I just stopped by for the special on Taco Bravos running today. The service was fast and friendly. The food was nice and hot. The restaurant was clean. It was a great deal and a pleasant experience."
"The best staff I have ever encountered. They were all so friendly and really wanted to make our visit very enjoyable. This was at the Tea South Dakota location"
"They always have good food. Our family got a variety of food from the tacos, burrito, quesadila, to the potato oles! We always look for one since they closed the one where we live!"
"I’m glad they’ve had enough staff now to be open inside on Sundays, it was a big deterrent during peak COVID to know only the packed drive thru was available. (I’ve not seen it that busy myself since) Speed I think is good, with just recently a quiet day yielding a Super Taco combo within 3 minutes. The interior is functional, never seen it packed full, and sometimes a bit unkempt. (but if I’m going to choose between minding an occasional stray lettuce or the mentioned drive thru, I’ll take care of myself) (their drive thru isn’t bad though, I just don’t want to eat in my car) Food quality is I guess what you’d get from other Taco John’s, being average Mexican-USA’n food. (but those potato oles can disappear like popcorn, very enjoyable) I don’t recommend keeping their food very long to eat later though, because besides the potato oles their deliciousness fades fast. Overall, I miss the red color scheme, but still like eating here on occasion. Just please let me come inside."
"We stopped going to a few Taco John’s in Sioux Falls because the quality and service were so bad. We were just passing through Brookings and decided to take a chance. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was super fresh and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised at the difference."
"I'm a sucker for tacos, and Taco John's does it right. Their shells are soft, but not pasty. The food sits just right in your stomach, not too heavy. Delicious. The staff at this in have been fairly consistently professional, considering it's a fast food joint."
"This place was totally incredible. The staff was so kind and so efficient that I was amazed. I was attending a camping wedding, and Sioux Falls was the nearest town with options to feed a tonne of hungover people early in the morning. I ordered over $100 worth of breakfast tacos and coffees and such, expecting much of it to not end up being made, or for this order to take an exceptionally long time. This was my first time ever at a Taco John's, and I was shocked at the service in both speed and quality. The staff didn't seem rude or upset at my ridiculous order, helped me to the car, and GOT EVERYTHING RIGHT. Things were even clearly labeled as no meat, spicy, etc. This place has awesome people working, and I hope they get to make some money in tips because they majorly deserve it!"
